So now what?
Well, many would argue there is a mess in Albany. Other would argue, this is the way it is every year. It's frustrating to feel like a pawn in the game of the state budget. The legislature voted for the budget extender which included one day furloughs for state employees, basically force a 3 day weekend. Who works, and who is exempt is a little cloudy. Who makes the decision who is exempt from the furlough, and who isn't is also cloudy. So, maybe I have a 3 day weekend, maybe I don't. While 3 day weekends for a few weeks sound appealing, having my paycheck reduced is not a heart-warming idea. Maybe at the last second none of this will happen anyway, that is my hope.
Fred!

They had a faculaty meeting today about changes. While nobody knows just yet what the changes will be, they will certainly involve unemployment for a few or many of us. Cheers.

No three day weekends for you (or anyone else, per CBS radio)–Hope the Governor comes up with a better plan than that.

We’ll see what the court has to say.
