Open Skate

We joined their friends for an open skate at the campus center. Here are a few photos capturing the fun:

Another Wedding

Another weekend, another trip. This weekend took us to another wedding. Michele was a bridesmaid in this ceremony. Michele's friend, Whitney was marrying her boyfriend of many years, Keith. Whitney was a reader in our wedding. The wedding took place at the day camp where the two had worked many years in high school:

Yard Sale

Michele and I had our annual yard sale with friends...

IMG_3786

It was a pretty busy 3 day operation. Our friends made out a little better than us. Michele and I only had a few odds and ends to sell since most stuff was sold off last year. It was fun nonetheless to have a slightly cleaner garage in the process...

Catching up in Buffalo

It's been awhile since stopping by Buffalo. Michele had a wedding shower to go to, so I took the opportunity to visit to friends that mentioned they were free while I was around. First I stopped in to see Chris and Rose with their new child, Sophia:

Then met up with Jen at Swiss Chalet for lunch. Jen was dying to take me here...again. She had taken me here once before on a previous visit. In case you've never heard of Swiss Chalet (and I'm sure you haven't), it's a Canadian restaurant which has two franchises in the US, both of which are in Buffalo. She was excited we were there:

Then, Michele and I decided to go camping. It was a fancy or involved trip to go camping. It was more a chance just to get a way from everything for a day or two. Our site overlooked Lake Ontario.

Upon closer inspection, that city hovering in the water is Toronto...

This trail is closed:

Yet, the very sign telling people not go this way was being used as bridge:

Also note, additional photos can be found on the companion blog "Fred and Michele." Yeah, we'll see how long I can keep up two blogs (probably not long)

Nebraska Bound…

Starting today, myself and many others will be without a good friend known as Chewy, or as others have nicknamed him, Eric. The wookie took a new job in Nebraska. Yes, that's right Nebraska of all places. He is beginning a three day road trip to move out there.  I wish him luck on his new adventure to a whole different part of the country. Chewy does like country music, so I'm sure he'll fit in just fine. Good Luck Chewy!

Yard Sale Wrap up

What's called a Tag Sale in Connecticut, is referred to as a Yard Sale in New York (upstate at least.) So Michele and I hosted one with our friends Matt and Stacey, and Jeff and Jen:

Catch up: Trip to DC/Virginia

First we visited our friend's Kimmie and Josh. Kimmie, pictured here, is preparing dinner.

Michele and I spent a soggy day in Washington DC. I actually didn't end up taking that many pictures in DC because of the rain, I didn't want to ruin my camera.

Pete took this picture of us heading down an escalator to the Metro.
