One more gift

This past Monday Michele and I received one more wedding gift. My grandmother recently finished a quilt and was ready to give it to us. Here it is:

Selma poses on the quilt. She is never camera shy.

It is a very beautiful quilt. It's king size, so it's a little larger than our bed but eventually I hope to have a king bed.  It's great how she used the wedding colors too.

Early Bird

Busy weekends and now busy weekdays...

This past week has been very involved. Our campus had the chancellor of the entire SUNY system stop by which included several events, we're in the middle of performance reviews, a revision of a few behind the scene projects, and then there's live coverage for Sotomayor. All of these have involved some very tricky logistics. I'm thankful I survived, and it's over. I'm on the early shift tomorrow which means my weekend starts at 1pm. Yay for me!

Yard Sale

Michele and I had our annual yard sale with friends...

It was a pretty busy 3 day operation. Our friends made out a little better than us. Michele and I only had a few odds and ends to sell since most stuff was sold off last year. It was fun nonetheless to have a slightly cleaner garage in the process...

It’s not that cold mmmmm..kay

So it has been a little cool and damp so far. But, does it need to be super hot and sweltering? The answer is no..because it isn't this cold:

This photo is from my front yard 6 months ago. So stare at this and instantly look outside and realize it is warmer out. Sheesh!

A Different Fourth

This past 4th of July weekend, we traded in the parade and the fireworks for a visit to my youngest brother, Mark, in Ithaca. We started with another trip through Buttermilk Falls State Park...
