10 years of moving

Posted in Oswego by Fred - Sep 7, 2011

It’s nice to celebrate the idea of purchasing a house because (in theory) I won’t be moving any time soon. That got me thinking. How many times have I moved recently. I plotted it out on a google map when I needed to take a brief break from reading for my class.

Each little marker indicates a place I have lived since graduating from college. This doesn’t even factor in my many moves during the college years.  This all occurred over the past 10 years.  3 of the moves were necessitated by the fact that I didn’t have a lease with the place I was staying and I had to leave because the lard-lord sold the property to someone else and had other ideas for the space.  I also had a 2 year stint back on campus as a faculty in residence.

Now I have settled down in an old brick house in Oswego. I still have to finish unpacking my office, otherwise we are in our home.

All quiet on the blog-front

It’s been quiet up here, up here on the blog that is.  Michele and I are in the long drawn out process of moving to our new apartment. I hope to be somewhat situated by this weekend.  Michele is more or less completely moved in. I’m about half-way there.  The cats moved in and are doing well, they already act as if they own the place. More news to come later….

By request…here are some photos of the inside of my new apartment. I didn’t take pictures in mind of posting them…so there are actually very few that do this house justice. It will look different once painted.  With that said, here are a few photos. More to come as Michele and I move in: Read the rest of this entry »

A New Home

I will be reversing the trend of moving into smaller apartments with my next move. At the end of the month I will be moving into a house that I’m renting:
